Saw Fred Brooks talk today. It was really good to see how many of the ideas we share at work. Just being able to nod along the way as he pointed out various aspects of designing made me feel pretty good. I especially enjoyed his annecdotes that supported his assertions as they were, I thought, appropriate as well as quite humourous. I really liked his thought on how we should make it a habit to review other designs for our own good in order to learn from them and to keep a diary of how you designed something in order to be able to look back and learn from them as well... I think that's a wonderful idea that not many end up executing... It has been put on my to-do list!! :)

I should have mentioned this earlier, but I am taking a class @ my alma matar again this semster, and the class is called Agile Software Development. The class is going to focus on eXtreme Programming, but it is supposed to cover agile programming methods in general. Take a look at our team's Blog to keep an eye on how we learn to adapt eXtreme Programming!!!

Just what the hell is going on between SGI and Microsoft??? Do all these big shots have to deal with patent issues and all that crap in order to stay afloat??? What does the future have in stock for the world of consumer 3D graphics????
