Road and Track did a "best for $25K" in a recent issue. The MP3 was one of the picks and the basic ’gist’ of it was that it is only $18,000+ and has the handling to be the fastest around Buttonwillow, besting the RSX Type S and the new SE-R Spec V among others. They also reported that its salom speed on their course was 68+ mph, which is FASTER than the Corvette Z06 and the Ferrari 360 Modena I think. But so underpowered though. (320)

oh cool! Well, I don’t know about Accord, Maxima or Camry... they’re too much of a sedan ( of course, Accord coupe is different, but too expensive ). I’m not going to be able to spend too much money given how much savings I’ve got, so Jetta seems to be the best value.. (319)

European all the way? Any considerations on Japanese? I love that new Mazda MP3, looks awesome but underpowered. Accord, Camry, Maxima, and the new Altima in the price range too!
