Ive been doing some random anime digging recently and came across a couple really good ones. One of them is Kite, and the other is Perfect Blue. Apparently Hollywood is doing their take on Kite and has been moving along with the plan. I'm surprised Perfect Blue doesn't have a Hollywood movie deal especially given how it's based on a novel which did produce a live action movie in Japan.

I almost felt ashamed that I didn't watch these sooner. Kite was a little short, but then again it had packed just about everything it had to in that time, so I guess adding to it could have made the overall story drag on, then again the ending just made it so tragic that I couldn't help but wish the "Oburi" character had more screen time so that we could all find out how exactly he got mixed in. That would have made me even more angry at the ending since I would have been able to sympathize with him further. Hmm.. am I sadistic?? ^^; The jazzy sound track for Kite was aslo excellent! If you want to just watch one of these two, then watch the "Perfect Blue". It's highly recommende for psycho thriller fans. ;) Now I have "Millenium Actress" and "Voices of a distant star" on my list of animes to watch.
