I finally finished The Solitaire Mystery. A lil bit of philosophical goodness mixed with some fantasy and rather vivid storytelling through the eys of a young boy. It's quite hard to describe it in a few words, but I must say that it has so many elements to it that I cannot help recommend it to audiences of all ages with an appetite for finding out how others view the life of us mere mortals. It's very positive yet very real and it certainly made an impact on me. The most memorable quote for me was:

I sat thinking how terribly sad it was that people are made in such a way that they get used to something as incredible as living. One day we suddenly take the fact that we exist for granted then... yes... then we don't think about it anymore until we are about to leave the world again.

Isn't that so true? This makes me want to get my hands on Sophie's World, now.
