It begins today... The painful process of creation that comes with moments of ecstasy and ends with satisfaction that nobody can fathom without experiencing it on one's own... Will I be able to outdo myself once again... I can only hope...

Words of encouragement during this process is not only welcome, but encouraged:)

With the money I made selling my DJM-600 (I must say I sold it for a loss, but tis life) and my almost non-existent Holiday bonus (recession blows) I have just purchased a Rane TTM-56 and Pioneer EFX-500. I really didn't need DJM-600's multi-channel and sampling capabilities and I couldn't stand that lousy fader curve on it anymore. It's a great mixer... for electronica DJs. I was content with my Stanton SK-2F until I realized I would really like to hook an effector up to the mixer, but alas SK-2F doesn't offer a send/return channel. I couldn't say the sound quality of SK-2F matched other mixers 3, 4 times its price, either. But, I can certainly match the sound quality with TTM 56 and make my mix sessions much more versatile with an off-board effector unit like EFX-500 hooked up to TTM 56's awesome assignable and tweakable send/return channel. Now I need to sell my other stuff and get myself a new sampling drum machine/sequencer and a mixing console to complete my studio revamp... Must save money... Oh yeah that reminds me I need to buy some sample CDs as well.. *SIGH*... I swear that it's only when I need to buy music gear or tune my car that I feel like I should just go commercial and choose money over intellectual satisfaction...

Finally got around to meeting with all the choreographers for next year's LG performance... 3 hours worth of quality time with each group! :) Guys I really hope the meeting we had helped you understand my perspective on things. Believe me, if there were a one step process that could teach you guys everything I know so you can better take advatnage of my skills, I would do just that. However, I don't know of any way I can accomplish that, so this is gonna have to be a team deal. We cannot make this happend unless we work together with constant communication! :) I'm gonna start fiddling around with the original sound sources after Christmas. Let's get rockin'!

Back from Dancer's Symposium. The show reminded me how important it is for the choreography, music and the actual performers to work together to produce a truly stunning effect. It's not about advanced moves, but it's more about how all of them come together. Once you have mastered the art of making the three come together, then and only then can you start adding advanced and extravagant moves into the equation. ;) Just my thought... heh heh. At any rate, mad props to everyone who participated! Hope all the hard work paid off! In the end it's all about enjoying what you do! Love life everyone! :)
