| When I get into the subject of "Djing" with other non-DJs I get this question a lot, "Well, but it's not like you're gonna be a DJ forever, right?". My answer is always, "Of course I am. Why would I be wasting time practicing everyday if I don't intend to continue this on for the rest of my life?". Quite frankly, music in general has always been a big part of my life... playing the pan-flute, the flute, the piano and the violin (although I never really practiced very hard), then eventually to one of my favorite intstrument: the electric guitar... singing, performing in musicals, and rapping has always been a great joy for me as well. It was only a matter of time before I picked up a pair of turntables... I think most musicians don't stop at being able to play an instrument from a technical standpoint... For me, the ultimate joy AND pain of striving to be a musician is creation... That's what gets me going at least... And for me the word "creation" is synonymous to "DJing". So there it is so that you won't have to ask me this question. ;) |

| Trying to come up with a short 30 second routine for our performance at this year's Lunar Gala Fashion Show... I've been just juggling random beats for about 2 hours now... but no inspiration... grr... maybe cuz I'm sick as a dog??? =( I wonder what other deejays do when they're trying to come up with a routine... do they just lisen to the record a few times and the routine pops up into their head??? err.... Maybe I should just go to sleep and wake a fresh dj.... grr... hate being sick.. |

| grrr.. having a bad mixing day... can't think... but have to... grr.... just very tired... my brain seems to be just full of plain crap... fingers don't move the way I want them to move over the vinyl... am I supposed to be THANKFUL that at times like this I don't have a girlfriend who complains I seem to love music more than I love her, or am I supposed to feel PATHETIC that I don't have a girlfriend who can support me at times like this to keep me going??? ah... life is full of mysteries... -.-; |

| Phew.. There's now 23 ( I think ) days left till the Lunar Gala Fashion show. I have all 4 main tracks remixed for our crew. I might touch up on some of the samples, but more or less the tracks will be frozen in time before our Sunday practice. In the meanwhile I'm working on the transitions between all of them. Pretty tough thing this year given we have different types of dancers... (breakers, poppers, and 2 freestyle teams) and rather different types of tracks are needed for each of the crew. When we get it done, this is gonna be awesome, tho!!! Awwwww zeeeeyah!! |
