Phew~~~ So I got my iMic working perfectly under Mac OS 9.2.2 with the latest firmware upgrade and the iMic control applet. Although it wasn't rocket science, it took this Mac novice a bit to get everything to work, but nonetheless... Still not sure how to get it working correctly under Mac OS X, since I don't see any way I can select the input source.... Now I have my mixer going out and in to the iMic adapter which then pipes sound through my iBook and out to my SRS-Z500. I also got Virtual PC running smoothly which means I can do all my sequencing during the practice!! This is gonna be sweet. All this better pay off at the Lunar Gala Practice... -.-; |

I just bought a set of Sony SRS-Z500 Personal Speakers to get ready for the Lunar Gala dance practices commencing next semester. It was just too much for me to haul around my Marshall Amp everytime... I'm gonna have to take my iBook with me to do some live sequencing anyway, so I'll just hook my mixer to my iBook and then blast the music out of the iBook through the SRS-Z500. I just tested this thing out, and the amplificaton is pretty good for a 6 watter with the bass reception and everything. Definitely good enough for small room dance practices. |
