| Man, I got back from spinning around 4:30 AM or something last night, er... morning... pretty intense session towards the end... The crowd was pretty difficult .... I think most of them were F.O.B.s craving some KPOP.. but, I've stopped spinning KPOP for a while, so I really didn't have much for'em... -.-... After getting some cold reactions to my favorite old skool hip hop tunes, I geared towards booty hop ( that would be the so-called hip hop that kids listen to these days ) to get it going... To my surprise, it worked pretty well. Then I tested them with some vocal house and dance and they went nuts... I guess their alcohol level was reaching a happy peak at that point... ^^. I just topped it off with some of my favorite break beats at the end, and I just entertained myself just scratching away the whole 1 hour session of breakbeats... I guess all in all it was pretty different from my normal gigs... *phew*... When would I find a crowd that really appreciates some good old skool hip hop?? |

| So while I was out of town couple weeks ago I went to a hard house club... and boy did I hate it.. I really don't understand what is so fun about a club filled with drugged out college kids and repetetive drum beat with intermittent siren efx... somebody fill me in on this... If there were naked girls dancing in the cage, maybe.. but there were male posers in the cage dancing... WTF? I just don't get it... |
