I finally saw the gap commercial... the one with shortkut and this model girl who say 'My first love... boys who scratch'... hmm.. interesting... ;) It reminded me of the interview Turntable Lab did with Roc raida a while ago when Roc Raid said that he'd do a GAP commercial. Qbert's been on a few commercials and now shortkut... heh heh... quite interesting. ;)

So a friend of mine has completed his military duties and came back to Pittsburgh to finish school... and he brought me some Korean 12" goodness!!! The Hip Hop Deh Bak LP and 180g of beat by DJ SoulScape.. It's really cool being able to push and pull Korean sounds.... This is awesome... Can't wait to see what I can com up with for next year's Lunar Gala 2002.

I got Time 4 Sum Aksion (Redman), rebirth of slick (Digable Planets), How About Some Hardcore (M.O.P), The Phunky Feel One (Cypress Hill) and Hot Sex (TCQ). DOPE! DOPE! DOPE! Gliding them on my new Technics slipmat feels daaaayam good!! ^^

Crap! On Stanton's website the mixer is advertised with the following point
5: No bleeding... (Use for hours, days, months, and years, without bleeding)
That's BS. I just cut my finger on the edge of the mixer.... dammit... =( Yes, I know that bleeding and this bleeding are two different things. DUH! But, still..

While I was waiting in Narita Airport for my flight to Chicago, I thought I'd look around the duty free to see if there were anything cool ... I really wanted to get the SoundTrack for Beat Mania 4th Club Mix, but they didn't have it... But, I did get M-Flo's Expo-Expo.. It was like $24... damn. I suppose I could have just searched for the MP3, but it was just my way of showing my new-found interest in J-HipHop. It's formatted in some weird way and won't play using winamp, so I'm listening to it right now using windows' CD player... kinda weird.. The inner sleeve is filled with corny 3D stuff... I guess Japan is not much different from Korea in this regard. ^^

Anyway, I didn't stop there... I got a pair of Sony MDE Q33SL earphones. The color that I wanted was not there, so I just got the silver/red swappable cap. I also got a light blue Panasonic Ear Candy RP-HS9 for my girlfriend along with a couple Hello Kitty stuff. ^^

So I got my Stanton SK-2F and did a little test driving on it. Needless to say, I was impressed with the sharp cut... as you all know focus fader is either ON/OFF.... However, I wasn't too happy with how smooth the fader was... No, it's not that it's not smooth enough... It's TOO smooth. A little push makes the fader knob glide all the way to the other end... Unless you're careful you can unintentionally cut the other channel off... Other than that the mixer is a solid battle mixer. The blue LED is way cool. ^^ Listen to me crrrabing on it. The transformer switch or clicker with that springing action is pretty interesting, but I'm not sure how useful it is. ^^
